Today was a big deal in our house! Today marked the day that Brian officially joined a new age group! We figured what better way to spend the day than taking a trip to Carolina Beach for a little birthday fun!

A few weeks ago, we visited the Marriott hotel near the Boardwalk at Carolina beach and attempted to get some of the amazing Britts donuts! It was raining when we stopped by the first time and after the wedding, the line was wrapped around the corner! We were very disappointed! So for Brian’s birthday, we decided to try again! This time, we walked right in! Yay for no lines! 🙂 

After enjoying about a half dozen of warm Britts donuts, we drove down to Kure beach! We actually found the same spot we visited last year and let the girls spend a little while on the beach! I love visiting the beach! There is just something so special about how the sand feels on your feet and the sound of the waves! I could literally lay on the beach all day and just relax!

Addie was afraid of the waves! Not sure why! Last time she loved playing in the waves and letting the water touch her feet! Maybe next year she will warm up to the idea!
