I am a huge Pinterest fan! It is a great way to find inspiration before photo sessions or to look up new branding ideas! A few days ago I had the idea of adding a few of our wedding photos to our Pinterest page! Our wonderful photographers sent us a DVD collection of our wedding photos last year, but I could only find one of the two disc! I frantically searched my desk before finding it hidden in a pile of documents! This scare reminded me of how important backing up your photos really is!

We always advise our couples to back up their digital images! It is so easy to lose a disc or USB! Much easier than even I realized! After every wedding, we send out a cute little USB drive to our couples! We include all of the digital images on this USB! We keep an archive of photos for at least 2 years after every event just in case someone does lose their photos! However, it is very important to backup your wedding photos! We suggest saving a copy of your digital images in different locations! You could save a copy on your computer’s hard drive or onto an external hard drive! You could also save your digital images using a cloud software! Although it may take quite awhile to upload all of your high resolution images! You could also burn a CD or DVD of your digital images as well!

By backing up your photos, you won’t have to worry about losing your special photos! In addition to backing up your photos, we also suggest printing your photos individually or into an album, but that’s a different blog! 🙂
