The weather was perfect for Sarah and Evan’s outdoor wedding ceremony and reception! I first met Sarah and Evan a few months ago when they stopped by our downtown office to chat! They told me how they were planning an intimate wedding at Anderson Point Park in Raleigh, North Carolina! The date was September 20th and they were so excited for their special day! They also told me how they were having chicken and waffles! Brian and I are huge chicken and waffle fans, so I knew that we would be a match made in heaven! 🙂
We met Evan at the Best Western in Raleigh to capture a few details while he dressed! His best friend who was also his best man was also at the hotel! The guys laughed and chatted while getting dressed! Evan wore a gray Kenneth Cole suit with a yellow tie and brown dress shoes!
Next we drove out to Sarah and Evan’s home to meet our bride! Her bridesmaids were in full swing helping her to get dressed and ready for the ceremony! I spent a few minutes capturing her wedding dress, perfume, earrings and bouquet! I totally love photographing details! I think even more so now that I’ve been a bride myself!
Before long, it was time to head over to Anderson Point Park for the ceremony! Wedding ceremonies are so sweet! There are so many emotions that are happening all at once! From the bride taking that walk down the aisle to the groom being anxious to see his bride! The happy parents who are also excited and nervous! It is such a blessing to be a part of it all! The ceremony went off without a hitch and these two were soon announced as husband and wife! The ceremony was performed by Rev. Ingrid Sagula! It was great working with her again too!
We spent the next hour photographing their beautiful families and the newlyweds before heading back to their home for their backyard reception! The rest of the evening was simply beautiful! The backyard had been decorated with elegant purple linen, string lights, purple and gold balls, and a very neat fire pit! The guest enjoyed chicken and waffles before indulging in cupcakes and cookies! The entire day was so sweet and we are so blessed to have been a part of it!
Congratulations Sarah and Evan!!! Cheers to an amazing future together!
