Matthew’s House Wedding | Antwanette and Dominique

April 15th was a beautiful and sunny day in Cary, North Carolina. It was a little warm for a mid April day, but it was pretty much perfect. It was also the day that Antwanette and Dominique tied the knot!

When we arrived, Dominique and his groomsmen were in one of the rooms downstairs getting dressed. Antwanette and her ladies were upstairs getting ready! I love everything about the bridal suite at the Matthew’s House. It was the perfect space for bridal portraits (check them out here) as well as getting ready portraits!

The ceremony took place outside on the lawn. All of their closest family and friends were gathered to help them celebrate! I love how emotional Dominique got when Antwanette made her way down the aisle! Although he would probably tell you that he just had something in his eye!

Everyone enjoyed cocktail hour and dinner following the ceremony. Followed by a pretty amazing reception party inside the ballroom. Keep reading to hear a little about how these guys met, how he proposed and what the bride was most excited about on her wedding day!

How did you guys meet?

My senior year in college through a mutual friend.

Tell me about your proposal?

It was New Year’s Eve and we had a fun night with friends at my coworkers house. He had talked to her previously and I had no clue it would happen that night. I was very surprised, she had called us to the front and I was thinking we were going take a picture, but instead he proposed to me!

What are you most excited about on your wedding day

Being a bride and the center of attention for the day, marrying my bestfriend. Being with all of my family and friends and sharing such a special moment. Also taking beautiful pictures! 🙂
