Candice and Jamal brought in the new year with a bang! After many years of love, they officially said “we do” on New Year’s Eve in front of their closest friends and family. And we got to be there for their special day! This was Brian and I first time working a wedding on NYE and we had a blast!

The ceremony and reception took place at 1705 East in the heart of Raleigh! I started the evening off with Jamal and his groomsmen at the Courtyard Marriott hotel off Capital blvd. All of the guys were busy getting dressed when I arrived! After spending some time hanging out with Jamal and his groomsmen, I headed downstairs to meet Candice and her bridesmaids. Candice was in the makeup chair when I arrived which gave me time to photograph all of her beautiful details. I especially loved her princess style ball gown and gold Jimmy Choo shoes! The ladies all wore the cutest navy blue robes while Candice wore a white one! After Candice’s Mother and sister helped her into her dress, I headed over to 1705 Prime to prepare for the ceremony.

Brian was already setup and playing music for the guest as they arrived for the ceremony. Before long it was time for the processional to walk down the aisle. Candice looked amazing and it was so sweet to see Jamal’s reaction to his bride as she walked down the aisle with her father! Jamal’s father was the officiant and the ceremony was simple and sweet.

After the ceremony, all of the guest enjoyed cocktail hour in the bar area while we headed into the lobby for portraits. The ceremony space was soon flipped into the reception space. All of the guest reentered the room and enjoyed dinner and dancing for the rest of the evening. Everyone cheered as 2017 entered and even shed a few tears as Jamal danced with his Mother!

We are so happy to have been a part of this special day for these guys. Cheers to an amazing marriage and life together!
