It has been an amazing summer here in North Carolina! I am still in awe at the fact that it is almost August. Where does the time go. I am so thankful for my little family! Our oldest daughter has been at camp for the past 3 weeks so you’ve been seeing lots of Addie lately. I apologize. She is the only little person in our house to play with except our two fur babies and they just love playing with each other!

This past Monday, Addie found a beach kit that had never been opened in our storage room and asked if she could take it to the beach with her! We had intentions of driving to Wilmington, visiting one of our couples wedding venues, grabbing donuts at Britt’s, finding live blue crabs and playing on the beach! Over 6 hours of driving later, I realized that maybe I had over planned the day just a bit. We did everything on the list, but we ended up driving to Wilmington, Carolina Beach, Washington, and Atlantic Beach all in one day! But when I look at the photos that I took of Brian and Addie playing in the sand at Atlantic Beach, it makes all of the driving around the world totally worth it! Addie was determined to play in the sand with her shovel and bucket and wouldn’t let us go home without finding a beach.

Brian is a complete goofball sometimes!
