Wow, I’m a week late, but we had to tell everyone about the wonderful time we had the most recent Weddingwire Networking Night event! The event was hosted by Weddingwire and it took place at The Stockroom at 230 in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina! This was our first time actually visiting The Stockroom at 230 and it is the cutest little venue! It has so much historic charm with rustic brick walls! They even have a huge chalkboard that can be used as a backdrop during your ceremony! How cool is that!?

Brian and I had a great time meeting and chatting with lots of other local wedding vendors! From wedding planners to cake bakers to stationary design teams, it was wonderful! Midway through the evening, a speaker from Weddingwire did a presentation filled with lots of useful information about Weddingwire! Not only did we get to meet lots of really cool people, we got to enjoy tasty appetizers and beverages! We tried to swap business cards with everyone that we met! I am the worst person with names, so I wanted to make sure that I could remember everyone we had the pleasure of meeting! Here are just a few of the lovely people we met during the evening!

We can’t wait to work with these guys!! We actually had Simply Cakes make our daughter’s 2nd birthday cake last year, so it was great meeting the faces behind the cake! 🙂

So here is the story behind this photo! I dragged Brian over the photo booth towards the end of the evening! When it was our turn, he started posing and I said “you should kiss me”! He said “no”! Then just as the camera went off, he kissed me and caught me totally off guard! 🙂 Love this photo from the Weddingwire event, even with Brian’s computer generated bowtie!
