Downtown Raleigh

I absolutely love when our couples choose to take engagement portraits in downtown Raleigh. There are so many great areas in downtown. Some of my favorite spots are over near the NC Science museum. This part of downtown is typically quiet and less crowded than some other areas.

Duke Gardens

Duke Gardens is such a beautiful spot for engagement and family portraits. There is a permit and fee required to take photos in the gardens, but I believe it’s totally worth it! Especially during the spring when all of the flowers are in bloom!

Raleigh Rose Garden

When the roses are in bloom, this location is absolutely gorgeous!

Downtown Durham

I love visiting downtown Durham! The American Tobacco Campus is one of the popular spots for engagement photos in Durham, NC! There are some other spots within walking distance that I’ve enjoyed using as backgrounds for our couples!

 

WRAL Azalea Gardens

I haven’t always been a fan of the WRAL Azalea Gardens, but it’s a really pretty location for engagement photos! It can be a little busy depending on the time of day and time of year! I have noticed that this is a popular prom photo spot on Saturdays during prom season! The gardens are really pretty and there are some areas near the building that work great in photos too!
