Ashleigh and Chris met during a tour of Duke! Six months went by before they spoke again! A conversation about NC State beating UNC brought these two back together and now they’re engaged! Ashleigh and Chris can’t wait to celebrate their special day with family and friends next fall! We’re so happy for them!

Chris proposed on my birthday. I had initially said I wanted it to be low key and nothing too fancy, as he was taking me to LA the following week. But Chris had other plans and had a day filled with activities scheduled. We started the day with gifts and breakfast followed by a massage, pedicure and some shopping. Later that night, we celebrated with a dinner at a local steakhouse. I thought the day was over but after dinner, Chris said he had one more gift for me. I began telling him that he had already done more than I asked for and another gift was not necessary, to which he responded, “I think you’d really like this one.” To my surprise, he then got down on one knee and proposed!
