In My Camera Bag

October 25, 2014

When I first started in wedding photography, I was curious to know what other photographers used to photograph weddings! There are so many lenses and cameras to choose from, that finding what works for you is super important! I highly suggest before you purchase a new lens or camera body, rent it first to see if it will work for you! Borrowlenses is a popular option for renting equipment! Being able to test out a lens before spending a ton of money on it, has been a real blessing!

My equipment list is nowhere near complete, but these are just a few of the items I usually carry in my camera bag!

Canon 6D

Canon 50 mm 1.8

Tamron 28-75 mm 2.8

Canon 70-200 mm 2.8

External flash (or 3)

Video light

Batteries

Wireless triggers

Plus a backup camera, light stand, reflector and umbrella! The list goes on and on! Depending on the event, I will bring along a wide angle lens and a 85mm lens! However, for portrait sessions I try to keep my equipment list pretty simple! It makes moving around a lot easier from location to location during an engagement or bridal session!

Be sure to check back for an updated list!
