If you’re anything like me, finding ways to stay organized are a must! Especially when you are planning one of the biggest days of your life! When we were in full wedding planning mode, I was constantly feeling overwhelmed with all of the million things that needed to be done! From finding the perfect wedding vendors to choosing the type of flowers that I wanted (which I had no idea there were so many different flowers in different seasons) to comparing different shades of pink! Wow, who knew planning a wedding could be like taking on a second job! So we wanted to give you 3 tips to staying organized while planning your special day! These are a few things that we found along the way that really helped!
1. Get a great monthly planner
One of the first things I would suggest is to get a great monthly planner! This is an awesome way to keep track of all of the appointments and meetings that you will have with potential vendors! I recently started using Emily Ley’s Simplified Planner in our business and it has been a complete life changer for me! Any day or month planner will do though!
2. Keep a binder
A wedding binder is a great way to keep all of your contracts and paperwork organized and in one location! When we first started planning, I had papers here and there! But once I started a wedding binder, it was so much easier to keep track of EVERYTHING! I would keep contracts, a payment schedule for our vendors, inspiration photos and so much more in my binder! Creating a binder can be as simple as picking up a binder at Target or you can custom design one on a site like Zazzle or DIY with a little Pinterest inspiration!
3. Hire a wedding planner
Wedding planners and coordinators are amazing! I know for us, having a wedding planner made a huge difference! She kept us on track and took a lot of the stress out of our wedding planning and our day! So if you can, I would recommend hiring an awesome wedding planner! RedBird Events and Sabrina Seymore Events are a couple that we know locally who are amazing!
We hope that you find these tips for staying organized while planning your wedding helpful! See you next time!
