I love visiting the North Carolina mountains in the fall. The leaves are always so colorful. The weather is usually cool, but not too cold yet. I especially love visiting the Lake Lure area. It’s a quaint little town tucked into the mountains with a gorgeous lake. We got to spend the day at the 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa with England and Morgan this past fall. This was our second time visiting this inn and it was just as sweet as I remember.
Morgan and England couldn’t wait to exchange vows on their special day. We spent some time with them in their private cabins getting ready before we headed into the courtyard for their first looks. I love that Morgan chose to do a first look with her Mom, Dad and England before the ceremony. Very sweet moments. After lots of portraits, we headed over to a beautiful gazebo on the lake for the ceremony. This was one of my favorite parts of the day. The couple exchanged vows and kissed before walking out of the ceremony together.
We spent sometime taking portraits on the lake before riding the trolley back to the inn. The remainder of the evening was filled with dinner, lots of dancing and deliciously flavored pies. The couple shared a private last dance as the guest headed inside to the hotel bar for the after party. It was the perfect ending to a dreamy day in the mountains.
