First Christmas in our Home

December 1, 2016

It’s amazing how fast a year goes by! Last year around this time, Brian and I decided that we wanted to be homeowners. We started searching for the perfect house for our little family in September of 2015. We had no true idea of what area we wanted to live in, but we knew that we wanted a decent sized house in an area with great schools for the girls. You can read more about our house journey here!

After visiting a few houses and coming back to the first location that we had found, we decided that it would be perfect for us! My dream last year around this time was for us to be in our new home for Christmas. But with the process of making offers and closing, that wasn’t exactly possible. Especially being that we didn’t make our offer on the house until a few days before Christmas last year! Fast forward a few months and the holiday season has rolled around again!

So to say that I’m excited about our first Christmas in our home would be an understatement. I felt that it was only right for us to get a new Christmas tree to help us celebrate the holidays this year! Initially we had planned to get a real tree this year, but with being almost 8 months pregnant, an artificial tree sounded a tad bit easier to manage this time! I also took the advice of one of our families and put up a smaller tree in our upstairs hallway! It’s a super simple tree but the lights look good from outside. Plus Brian picked out a winter candy apple candle to add a little seasonal smell to the house!

Are you guys ready for the holidays? We’d love to hear from you! Leave us a comment below.
