Shaunita and Mike were planning a trip to North Carolina the same weekend that Brian and I were planning a trip to Georgia. Things worked out perfectly and we ended up meeting them in Atlanta for their classic engagement session at Atlantic Station and Piedmont Park in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s no secret that we have a special place in our hearts for Atlanta. It’s where Brian and I spent our first vacation together and it’s where we try to visit at least once every year! Often times more than once. This time around, we were scheduled to be in Columbus, Georgia the following day for a wedding and it worked out perfectly to meet Shaunita and Mike on Friday! Shaunita and Brian actually went to high school together. Small world!

Mike and Shaunita are engaged and planning their special day. They are a very sweet and funny couple. They’re also lifesavers. When Brian and I arrived at Atlantic Station, we had planned to meet them outside of Target. However, after leaving the parking deck, we got a little lost and ended up in the back of some hotel. Thankfully Shaunita and Mike were driving by and saved us the embarrassment of having to either a) jump a fence (more like climb a fence only to get stuck on it) or b) wander around the shopping center for the next 30 minutes trying to figure out how to get across to Target. So like I said these guys were total lifesavers!

We spent the first part of their session at Atlantic Station and then headed over to the place where these guys completed their first race together, Piedmont Park. We had a complete blast hanging out with them in downtown Atlanta and are so happy for them!
