When we first met with DeNathian and Katina last year, I knew that they were going to have an epic wedding! This was our second time working with the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Raleigh, North Carolina! And I fell in love with the venue even more! Many people still know it as the Old Brownstone Hotel off Hillsborough Street! I love that there are different rooms to host various events at the same time! Our sweet couple planned their ceremony and reception to take place inside of the hotel ballroom!
We arrived to find that the ceremony space had been beautifully decorated! The flowers were prepared by Fallon’s Flowers!
While Brian got setup for the ceremony, I headed upstairs to find the groom and his guys!
How cool are these chuck taylors that the bride and groom created! The grooms says “husband” and the brides says “wife”! I absolutely adore when our couples add personal touches to their special day! And when they share special gifts with one another!
So here’s the story! The bride and groom exchanged gifts while they were getting ready for the ceremony! When one of Katina’s bridesmaids carried DeNathian his gift, I tagged along! And that image on the phone is Katina watching her now husband’s reaction to her gift! It was so sweet and funny all at once!
Shoes and jewelry!
And a gorgeous lace filled dress from Bridal Boutique of NC in Cary, North Carolina!
All of the lovely bridesmaids gathered around as Katina put on her beautiful gown!
I love this precious moment with Katina! Right after she was completely ready and right before she walked out of the hotel room for the ceremony, she spent 5 minutes posing for me! So beautiful!
Downstairs the reception location had been decorated with gray tablecloths along with purple and orange uplighting!
I also found our groom waiting for the start of the ceremony!
I was so thankful that everyone allowed me to take them outside in the freezing cold for a few minutes! Note: the snow on the ground from a few days before the wedding!
The flowers were gorgeous!
A little fun group shot!
Ahh, love!
Inside we found a beautiful cake created by Whole Food’s!
And the coolest guest book I had ever seen! I use to love playing Jenga when I was a little kid! Even though I always made my tower fall!
Everyone enjoyed dinner and then it was time for a “rockin” first dance! Literally! From John Legend to Apache to Tom Jones! Katina and DeNathian choreographed an amazing first dance with a little help from Brian!
After a few tears and lots of cake fun, it was time to party the night away! We had a complete blast at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel wedding in Raleigh, North Carolina! I can’t wait until the next time we get to visit! Congratulations again to our beautiful couple!
